This KMZ file is my best-guess
path of the Feb. 5th, 2008 tornado beginning near Ola, AR and
ending near Highland, AR.
In the Atkins, Clinton, and Mountain View areas, I used video of fly-overs from local television stations for
references of the tornados path and damage. The rest of the path was guessed by text
reports from NOAA's website and local television news reports.
This is NOT, in any way, meant to be an accurate
or official path of the Feb. 5th, 2008 tornado in Arkansas.
It is only a personal record. I am sharing it with you
without any implied accuracy.
If something is wrong with the file please use this

If you have photos or video of this storm please contact me and
I will give you an email address to send it to me. If you
took any of the photos below and would like them removed please
see the above feedback form. Once removed from this site
they will automatically be removed from all KMZ downloads, past
as well as present.
This file does not show any current aerial
damage. The satellite photos Google Earth is using are currently older
than a year. It may be some time, even years, before new
photos reflect damaged areas. Not my fault. Not
Google's fault either. They use third party companies for
the satellite overlays. That company can only photograph
small sections of land with many other limitations like it must
be daylight, cloud/haze free, and
This KMZ file includes:
- Lucky Landing area marker (hardest hit area in Pope Co./Atkins,
AR)
- Marker of three fatalities (Cherry Family of 3) (Southeast of Atkins,
AR)
- Marker of area of the fourth and final fatality in Pope Co. The
resident lived in an old RV news reports said.
- Several pictures from different distances and angles.
(Most of the images in the Photo Gallery
on this site are shown. Some
are placed near, I believe, where the photographer was
standing)
- Many other damage markers without pictures. Verified
using aerial video from local news stations. Video not
included. Click
HERE for some video.
- Much more...
